Juan Silveira dos Santos, simply known as Juan, is a highly rated Brazilian international defender who currently features for the Italian giants AS Roma. He captained Brazil to the Copa America 2004 and 2007 triumphs and played in the 2006 World Cup too.

Juan started his professional career for Brazilian giants Flamengo in 1996 and in 2002 moved to Europe to play for the German side Bayer Leverkusen. He was signed by AS Roma for 6.3 million euros in the summer of 2007 in the wake of the departure of Cristian Chivu to Inter Milan.

Jun has played over 70 international matches for Brazil and is rated as one of the most consistent and best defenders in the world.
