Hanno Balitsch is a German football player who currently features for 1. FC Nuremberg team as a midfielder. The major teams that he had been a part of till date are FC Alsbach, SV Waldhof Mannheim, 1. FC Koln, Bayer 04 Leverkusen,
1. FSV Mainz 05, Hannover 96, 1. FC Nuremberg and Germany National Football team.
Balitsch commenced his professional club football career at SV Waldhof Mannheim in 1999 prior to which he was with Stammverein FC Alsbach. He performed well and was a consistent player which brought him to Bayer 04 Leverkusen for 2 million euros. Hanno Balitsch made his international debut for Germany in 2003 against Spain on February 12, 2003 in Majorca.
But, he was not able to assert himself within any international competition and saw a chance to move to FSV Mainz 05, a newly promoted team in 2004-05 season. On 29th May 2010, he returned to Bayer 04 Leverkusen for a two year contract basis.
