Pablo Fontanello commenced his professional club football career at Argentine club Tigre in 2006 and played for them for the 2006-2007 season. He then signed for Santiago Wanderers and played for them for the 2007-2008 season.

After playing for Tigre for the 2008-2009 season, Pablo Fontanello joined Parma.
