Moises Alberto Munoz Rodriguez is a professional footballer from Mexico who plays as a goalkeeper. As a 19 year old, Munoz rose up from the youth level to make his professional debut at Monarcas Morelia in 1999. Stellar performances at such a young age meant that Munoz soon became the first choice goalkeeper for the club.

Munoz has played over 240 games for Monarcas Morelia and has even played 8 times for the Mexican national team. His International debut came in 2004 when he played against Ecuador. Injury trouble has plagued Munoz for a long time in his career and that led to him being kept out of the 2006 World Cup squad that went to Germany. Despite his poor injury history, Munoz was recently called up by Hugo Sanchez first, and then by Sven Goran Erikkson, to play for the Mexican national side as recently as November 2008.

However, Munoz has mostly been the back-up goalkeeper and has rarely seen action at the international level.

At the club level, Munoz has established a reputation of saving loose balls with theatrical slides and dives. He is known to be extremely energetic and has been fourth in line to get to the number-one spot on the Mexican National Team.
