Petri Pasanen is a Finnish international football player who currently features for the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen. He is a versatile footballer who can pay anywhere across the back four.

Petri Pasanen commenced his professional club football career at Finnish club Lahti in 1996 and was signed by Dutch giants Ajax in 2000. He was on the books of Ajax until 2004 but could make only 52 league appearances and played for English club Portsmouth in 2004.

Werder Bremen signed Pasanen in 2004 and the Finn has gone onto establish himself as a first choice defender for the German side.

Petri Pasanen made his international debut for Finland against the Republic of Ireland on November 15,2000 and has featured in over 50 international matches for his nation so far.
