Thomas Kahlenberg is a Danish international football player who currently features for the German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg. He plays as an attacking midfielder.
Thomas Kahlenberg commenced his professional club football career at Danish giants Brondby on May 12, 2002 against FC Koverhavn in the penultimate match of the 2001-2002 season.
Kahlenberg initially played as a central midfielder and scored 34 goals in 96 league matches for them, winning the Danish Superliga in 2001-2002 and 2004-2005. He also won the Danish Cup in 2002-2003 and 2004-2005.
Thomas Kahlenberg was signed by French club Auxerre in 2005 for around 2.5 million pounds on a four year contract. He featured in over 100 league matches and was signed by German champions VfL Wolfsburg in the summer of 2009 on a four-year contract.
Thomas Kahlenberg made his international debut for Denmark in 2003 and was part of the Danish squad for the Euro 2004 finals.
