Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira, better known simply as Amauri, is a Brazilian footballer who currentle features for the Italian and European powerhouse Juventus. Amauri plays as a striker.
Amauri commenced his professional career at Brazilian side Bellinzona in 1999 and moved to Napoli in January 2001. He featured in just 6 matches for the Naples side before being whiskered away to fellow Italian club Piacenza in 2002 and then to Messina in 2002.
In the summer of 2003, Amauri was transferred to Chievo Verona and played for the modest Verona side until the 2005-2006 season, scoring 17 goals in 90 matches. In the summer of 2006 he was signed by Palermo and continued his great run of form by scoring 23 goals in a total of 52 matches in all competitions for Palermo.
In the summer of 2008 Juventus signed Amauri from Palermo for 15.3 million euros plus plus the full property of Antonio Nocerino and the co-ownership of Davide Lanzafame.
