Lisandro Lopez is an Argentine international football player who currently features for the Portuguese giants FC Porto. He plays as a striker.
Lisandro Lopez commenced his professional club football career at Racing Club de Avellaneda and was league’s top scorer in the Apertura in 2004. He was signed by Portuguese giants FC Porto in the summer of 2005 for 2.5 million euros after he had played for Racing between 2003 and 2005.
Lopez soon became a key player of Porto and won the Portuguese league in 2005-2006,2006-2007, 2007-2008 and 2008-2009. He was league’s top scorer in 2007-2008 with 24 goals in 27 league games. Lopez performed impressively for Porto in the UEFA Champions League in 2008-2009, becoming a consistent goalscorer for the Portuguese powerhouse as they reached the quarter-finals of the competition.
Lisandro Lopez made his international debut for Argentina in 2005 and has been a regular squad member of his nation under coach Diego Armando Maradona.
