A football midfielder from Brazil, Rever Humberto Araujo Alves began playing professionally in the youth division of Paulista FC, in 2003. After one year in the youth division Araujo working his way up into the first team and made his professional debut for the club in 2004. Araujo remained with the club till 2008, but in 2007 he was loaned out to an Abu Dhabi based club, Al-Wahda.

Araujo did not make any appearances with the club, and soon returned to Paulista, where he was quite popular. In 2008, Paulista suffered a relegation as well as a bad Campeonato Paulista stint. This resulted in Araujo’s rights being shared with Gremio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, to whom he was loaned out. Araujo immediately proved himself indispensible to the team and even went on to become the vice-captain of the first team. Late 2008, Gremio signed him up completely and Araujo is now on a five year contract with the club.

Some of Araujo’s top honors include the Copa do Brasil in 2005 and the Runner-up position at the Sao Paulo State championship in 2004.
