Jociel Ferreira da Silva began playing professional football in 2005 with Santa Cruz, but moved to Salgueiro the next season. He did not complete the season with club, and moved to Icasa for the remaining season instead. After just one season with the club, Ferreira moved to Ceara Sporting Club, but in the same season moved to South Korea to join Busan I’Park, where he scored once in over 10 appearances in the one season he spent with the club.
In 2008 he returned to Ceara, but mid season he moved to his current club, Fluminense FC.
