A football striker, Roger Rodrigues da Silva began playing football in the youth division of Ponte Preta in 2003. He soon worked up the ranks and played his first professional game for the club in 2004. After just one season with the club, Rodrigues moved to Sao Paulo, the club he still belongs to. After 18 appearances and 3 goals in one season, Rodrigues was loaned out to Palmeiras for one season, and then went back to Ponte Preta on loan for the next. But he did not complete the 2007 season with the club and was loaned out to Al-Nasr instead.
After the season ended, Rodrigues continued his loan spell, after he was loaned out to Sport Club do Recife in 2008, where he spent one season. In 2009, Rodrigues was loaned out to his current club, Fluminense FC, where he has made 7 appearances with the first team so far.
Some of the player’s top honors include the Copa Libertadores with Sao Paulo in 2005, the Campeonato Pernambucano in 2008 with Sport Club do Recife and the Copa do Brasil in 2008 with the same club.
