Alberto Rafael da Silva is a professional footballer, who made his professional debut in 2006 with EC Sao Bento. He remained there for one season after which he enjoyed brief stints with Bragantino and CA Taquaritinga, before finishing the season with Internacional Limeira. In 2008, Rafael moved to Itumbiara, but once again shifted mid season to Vasco da Gama, where he completed the season.
In 2009, Rafael was signed by his current club, Fluminense FC, with whom he is under contract till 2014.
