Alessandro Potenza is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Genoa. He plays as a right-back.

Alessandro Potenza commenced his professional club football career at Italian and European powerhouse Inter Milan and played for them for the 2002-2003 season. Although he was officially on the books of AC Milan until 2006, he played on loan at other clubs including Parma and Chievo Verona.

In 2006 Potenza was signed by Fiorentina but he was never considered a first team regular and in two seasons managed only 34 league appearances, scoring one goal.

In 2008 Potenza was signed by Genoa.
