Giandomenico Mesto is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Napoli. He plays as a right wing-back.
Mesto commenced his professional club football career at Italian club Reggina in 1998 and played for them for two seasons, featuring in only one league match.
Mesto moved to Cremonese in 2000 and played for them for one season. He then played for Fermana for the 2001-2002 season, scoring 16 goals in 31 league matches.
He moved back to Reggina and played for them until 2007, scoring one goal in 137 league matches. He established himself as a very reliable right wingback at Reggina and played for Udinese on loan for the 2007-2008 season, scoring two goals in 28 league matches.
Mesto was signed by Genoa in the summer of 2008 and in 2012 after scoring seven goals in exactly 100 league matches, he was snapped up by Italian giants Napoli.
Mesto made his international debut for Italy in 2005 and has featured in a total of 3 international matches for his nation.
