An Argentine footballer, Mauro Boselli began playing professional football in 2003, with Boca Juniors. He remained with the club till 2005, after which Boselli moved to Spanish club Malaga B, but returned to Boca after just one season. Boselli struggled a bit to become a regular on the first team, having to compete with played such as Argentine World Cup player, Rodrigo Palacio and Martin Palermo.
The striker was a part of the team which won the Copa Sudamericana in 2004 and the Copa Libertadores in 2007. But in 2008, Boselli made the switch to his current club Estudiantes de La Plata, starting out strong with seven goals in his first 13 league appearances.
