Salvatore Burrai commenced his professional club football at Italian side Cagliari in 2005 and played for them for two seasons, featuring in one league match.
Burrai was loaned out to Mantredonia for the 2007-2008 season. In the summer of the 2008 he eas recalled and has been inducted into the Cagliari first team again.
