Gennaro Delvecchio is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Sampdoria. He plays as a central midfielder.

Gennaro Delvecchio commenced his professional club football career at Italian club Barletta in 1994. He went onto feature for a number of clubs including Perugia and Catania and made his Italian Serie A debut during the 2005-2006 season with US Lecce.

Delvecchio was signed by Sampdoria in 2005 and was actually on loan at Lecce during the 2005-2006 season.

Gennaro Delvecchio made his international debut for Italy against Croatia in a friendly international in a match that they lost 2-0.
