Davide Baiocco is an Italian football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Catania. He plays as a midfielder and is also the captain of the club.
Davide Baiocco is a product of the youth academy of Perugia but commenced his professional club football career at Gubbi in 1992. He played for Perugia between 1994 and 2002 and made a total of 68 league matches, scoring two goals. During his first spell at Perugia, Baiocco was also loaned out to Fano, Siena and Viterbese.
In January 2002 Baiocco was signed by Juventus for 4.6 million euros in a swap deal that involved Fabian O’Nei;; moving to Perugia. He arrived at Juve in the summer of 2002 on a four-and-a-half year contract.
But Baiocco failed to settle in at Juventus and was loaned out at first to Piacenza and then to Reggina. He was signed back by Perugia for the 2004-2005 season and was signed by Catania in 2005.
Davide Baiocco helped Catania gain promotion to the Italian Serie A for the 2006-2007 season and has since been the captain of the club.
