Sergio Ramos Garcia is a Spain international football player who currently features for the Spanish and European giants Real Madrid. Ramos is a versatile defender who can play as a central defender and also as a right back, and is rated as one of the best players in the world.
Ramos is a graduate of the famous Sevilla FC youth academy and played or the Andalusian giants from 2003 to 2005, featuring in 39 matches in total, scoring two goals in the process. His consistent running up and down the flanks, delivering exquisite crosses into the opposition’s box, strong defending, pace and heading ability made him the best youngster in his position at the time and he was signed by Real Madrid in the summer of 2005 for a staggering 27 million euros.
Ramos then became the third most expensive teenager in the world and the most valuable domestic signing in Spain. Ramos settled directly into the Real Madrid first team and has sustained his place ever since. He won the league in 2007, 2008 and 2008 with Madrid. He is still quite young but has massive maturity He has developed into a world class defender and is certainly an integral part of this Real Madrid squad.
Ramos has made headways into the Spanish national team as well. He played in national colours at the 2006 World Cup and won Euro 2008 and 2010 World Cup, as well as Euro 2012.
