Samuel Eto’o Fils is a Cameroonian international striker who currently features for the Italian and European giants Inter. Eto’o is regarded as one of the best strikers in the world and is a complete player. He is a legend back home in Cameroon and Africa.

Eto’o commenced his football career in the highly acclaimed youth academy Real Madrid. He was drafted into the youth team in the year 1997 but he subsequently failed to cut the grades in the senior side. He was loaned out to fellow La Liga side Real Mallorca for two seasons starting in the middle of the 1999-2000 season and was signed on a permanent deal by the Islanders at the end of the 2000-2001 season for a club record transfer fee of 6.3 million dollars.

At Mallorca, Eto’o was, and still is, worshiped a hero. He scored a whooping 54 goals in 133 league appearances for the club from 2000-2004, winning the Copa del Rey with Mallorca in 2003.

In the summer of 2004, Eto’o was signed by Catalan giants FC Barcelona for a jaw-dropping 24 million euros. He developed further at the Camp Nou cathedral and progressed to become one of the most feared strikers in the world.

Eto’o is lauded for his prolific goalscoring knack and his ability to create as many goals as he scores for his teammates. Samuel Eto’o is also a great passer of the ball and is a marvelous dribbler of the football.

Samuel Eto’o won La Liga 2005 and 2006 with Barcelona and also lifted the UEFA Champions League in 2006. He also won the Spanish Super Cup with Barce in 2005 and 2006. He was adjudged as the best striker in the Champions League in the 2005-2006 season. He won the treble with Barca in the 2008-09, but joined Inter that summer and won the treble with them in 2009-10.

Eto’o won the African Nations’ Cup with Cameroon in 2000 and 2002. He also top scored in the same competition in 2006 and 2008. Eto’o has been voted as the best African Player of the Year thrice (2003,2004,2005).
