Massimo Ambrosini is an Italy international player who currently features for the Italian powerhouse AC Milan. He is the vice-captain of the team and is a veteran hard working, defensive-minded midfielder.
Ambrosini commenced his professional career with the Italian Serie B side Cesena in the 1994-1995 season when he was just 17 years of age and after just one season was signed by Italian giants AC Milan, then coached by Fabio Capello.
Ambrosini did confront some difficulty in breaking into the first team at Milan in his first few seasons and was even sent on loan to Vicenza in the 1997-1998 campaign but since then he has been a regular for Milan and has progressed to become one of the most vital player for Milan. He has made over 300 appearances for AC Milan in his tenure at the club.
Ambrosini has several titles with AC Milan. He has won the Italian Serie A in 1996,1999, 2004 and 2011, the Coppa Italia in 2003 and UEFA Champions League 2003 and 2007.
Ambrosini won 35 international caps for Italy. He made his international debut against Croatia in 1999 and hung up his boots in 2008.
