Born on the 15th of February, 1988, in Buenos Aires, Alejandro Gomez is an Argentine footballer who played mostly as a midfielder. Currently playing with Arsenal de Sarandi, which plays in the First Division of the Argentine football league, Gomez joined the club in 2003. He only became a regular in the first team from 2006, and in that year made 15 appearances, and scored two goals, guiding Arsenal de Sarandi into fifth place.
Known for his attacking style, Gomez is a dynamic player with immense skill, especially with long range goals. Impressed with his high work rate, Gomez was chosen for the Argentina Under 20 team in 2007, and represented the country in the 2007 South American Youth Championship, held in Paraguay. The same year he was also a part of the winning 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup team, which was held in Canada. 2007 was a strong year for the footballer, with two prominent goals in the finals of the Copa Sudamericana 2007, against America.
