Born in Argentina, Marcelo Nildo Quinteros is a professional football player who began his career in 2000. He started off with Rosario Central, a club where he played for three years and almost 50 games. Although a midfielder, he scored 7 times in whatever appearances he managed to make, most being as a substitute.

In 2003, Quinteros moved to Ecuadorian side, Deportivo Cuecna, in search of regular football. 25 games later, he was back in Argentina and playing for Gimnasia de Jujuy in the Primera Division in 2004. In four years, Quinteros played over 150 games for the club, scoring 11 goals on his way to becoming an integral part of the squad. In 2005, he was a major influence in the Clausura Championship win for Gimnasia that helped them gain promotion to the Primera Division.

In 2008, he decided to part ways with the club and will be playing with Atletico San Martin.
