Born in Argentina, Federico Nieto is a professional football player who began his career as a striker at Almagro in 2002. In his 58 games with the club, he scored an incredible 33 goals. This brought on the attention from European clubs and Rangers were the first to get to his signature. Although he just played three games for the club, he scored thrice. He then moved to Estrela Amadora in Portugal for just 7 games. Another poor season on the bench frustrated Federico and he left for Genoa in 2006.
In Italy he didn’t get any games and was sent to Hellas Verona on loan. His loan spell saw 21 games with just one goal to show for his exploits, not an impressive enough performance to get him back into the squad. So Federico returned to Argentina and t Club Huracan where he got an entire season, scoring 6 times. He moved to Atletico Banfield in 2008.
