Mauricio Isla is a young Chilean football player who currently features for the Italian Serie A club Juventus. He plays as a midfielder and is said to be a promising one at that.

Isla is known for his versatility and can play in several positions such as right winger, centre-back and left back. He developed at the youth academy of Universidad Catolica and was signed by Italian side Udinese in 2007. He was drafted into the first team and quickly started earning a name for himself in Serie A.

Isla scored six goals in 127 Serie A appearances for Udinese between 2007 and 2012, helping them achieve success in the Italian top flight and also qualify for the Champions League. Thereafter, he was signed by Italian giants Juventus where he has continued his development.

Isla made his international debut for Chile against Switzerland in November 2007 and has since become a regular member of the Chilean national squad. He has made 35 international appearances for his country.
