Simone Pepe is an Italy international football player who currently features for the Italian giants Juventus. He plays as a winger and is rated as one of the better players in Italy.
Pepe was born near Roma and developed at the prestigious youth academy of AS Roma. He played for the first team between 2001 and 2003 but couldn’t play any Italian Serie A matches. He was loaned out to first Lecco and then Teramo during his period at Roma.
Pepe was signed by Palermo in 2003 and he developed and progressed quickly there, scoring once in 25 league matches. He was actually on loan at Piacenza, also an Italian club, for the 2004-2005 season and scored 12 goals in 30 league matches for them.
In 2006 Udinese came calling and signed him. After playing the 2006-2007 season on loan at Cagliari - for whom he scored three goals in 36 league matches - he was recalled to the Udinese camp and steadily become one of the most important players for Udinese. After playing on loan for Juventus in the 2010-11 campaign, Pepe was signed on a permanent contract by the former Italian and European champions in the summer of 2011.
Pepe made his international debut for Italy against Bulgaria on October 11, 2008 in a World Cup 2010 qualifier. He has since played in over 20 international matches for his nation.
