Dean Ashton

Dean Ashton is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club West Ham United. He plays as a striker and is said to be a promising young one too.

Dean Ashton developed first at Stoke City and then at Crew Alesandra and made his professional debut for the first team of Crewe as a 16-year old against Gillingham. He gradually inserted himself into the first team at Crewe and soon became a regular for them, scoring 61 goals in 159 league matches.

He was signed by Norwich City in January 2005 for 3 million pounds. He scored on his debut for Norwich against and scored a decent 17 goals in 44 league matches for them.

Ashton was signed by West Ham United in 2006 for 7 million pounds and he has progressed into a very promising striker at Upton Park and is gradually becoming a regular for the Hammers.

Dean Ashton made his international debut for England against Trinidad and Tobago on June 1,2008.
