Rocky Michael Chopra is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Sunderland. He plays as a striker and is the son of an English mother and an Indian father and is the first player of Indian parentage to play and score in the Premiership.10,
Michael Chopra developed at the youth academy of Newcastle United and signed his professional contract with the club in November 2002; it was a three-year deal. He made his first team debut for Newcastle against Everton in the League Cup and actually missed his spot-kick in the penalty shoot-out.
Michael Chopra was on the books of Newcastle United from 2000 and 2006 and scored1 goal in 21 Premier League matches. In those matches he played on loan for Watford, Nottingham Forest and Barnsley.
