Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye is a Senegalese international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Stoke City. He plays as a defender and can also play as a defensive midfielder.
Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye made his professional club football start at Senegalese club ASEC Ndiambour in 1999 and played for them for two seasons, scoring an 8 goals in 59 impressive league appearances. In 2001 Diagne-Faye was signed by Senegalese powerhouse Jeanne d’Arc in 2001 and after one season moved to French club RC Lens, where he featured in just 35 league matches in three years.
Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye then moved to Bolton Wanderers in the Premier League and played for two seasons for them. He was quite successful at the Reebok Stadium and was a regular in both the seasons, scoring 3 goals in 60 Premier League matches.
He was signed by Newcastle United for the 2007-2008 season and scored 1 goal in 22 Premiership matches. He had signed a three year contract with the Geordies in the summer of 2007 but was signed by Premiership newcomers Newcastle United in the summer of 2007 for 2.25 million pounds on a three-year contract.
Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye made his international debut for Senegal in 2004 and has scored 3 goals in 14 international matches for his nation so far.
