Daniel Olusola “Danny” Shittu is a Nigerian international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Bolton Wanderers. He plays as a central defender.
Danny Shittu commenced his professional club football career at London side Charlton Athletic in 1999 and stayed at the Valley for three seasons but did not make any league appearance. He was loaned out first to Blackpool and then to Queens Park Rangers.
Danny Shittu was signed by QPR on a permanent deal for 350,000 pounds in 2002 and featured for the club for four seasons, scoring 16 goals in 162 league matches. In August 2006 Watford signed Shittu for 1.6 million pounds and he played for two seasons for them, scoring 8 goals in 69 league matches.
In the summer of 2008, Bolton Wanderers signed Danny Shittu on a three year deal.
Danny Shittu made his international debut for Nigeria in 2000 and has layed 13 matches for his nation so far.
