Daniel Sean “Danny” Guthrie is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Newcastle United. He plays as a central midfielder and is young, promising up and coming player.
Daniel Guthrie rose through the ranks at Liverpool and made his debut for the senior side in October 2006 when he played against Reading in the Football League Cup as a substitute. A month later he made his Premiership debut for Liverpool when he came on as a substitute against Portsmouth.
Daniel Guthrie was loaned out to Southampton in March 2007 for until the end of the 2007-2008 season and made 10 league appearances. He was loaned out to Bolton Wanderers for the 2007-2008 season and featured impressively for 25 Premier League matches.
Daniel Guthrie has been drafted back into the Newcastle set-up for the 2008-2009 season.
