Jason Andre David Roberts is an English-born Grenadian international football player who currently features for the English Premier League side Blackburn Rovers. He plays as a striker and is known for his hard work, dedication and passion.
Jason Roberts started his professional football career at English side Hayes in 1996 and in 1997 was signed by Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1997. He didn’t manage much at Wolves and after one season mostly spent on loan at Torquay United and Bristol City was signed by Bristol on a permament deal.
Roberts became a star at Bristol and scored 38 goals in 78 league matches and in the summer of 2000 was signed by West Bromwich Albion for a club record fee of 2 million pounds. Roberts was a huge hit for West Brom although he was found wanting in the scoring department.
In 2004 Wigan Athletic signed Roberts and the player scored 37 goals in 93 English Premier League matches. He was signed by Blackburn in 2006 but Roberts has failed to reinvent himself at Ewood Park and is a substitute player.
Jason Roberts has played international 22 matches for Grenada and has scored 12 times.
