David Nugent is a former professional footballer from England. He played for the Bury Football Club, Preston North End, Leicester City, and others.

David James Nugent was born on May 2, 1985, in Huyton, England. He stands 180 cm tall and is a striker. In interviews, he has said that he supports Everton.He spent his youth career playing for Liverpool and later on Bury.
Senior Career
In 2002, he signed with Bury and was promoted to their senior team. He would play for them from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, he was capped by the English National Football Team to play in the Under21 squad.From 2005 to 2007, he played for Preston North End, and from 2007 to 2011, he was part of the Portsmouth team. Although from 2009 to 2011, he was loaned to Burnley.
Nugent played for Leicester City from 2011 to 2015 and from 2015 to 2017, he was with Middlesbrough.
He played for Derby County from 2017 to 2019 and in his last few years before retiring, he played for Preston North End again. They loaned him to the [[Tranmere Rovers] in 2021. He has not played professionally since the end of the 2021 season.
