Branislav Ivanovic is a Serbia international football player who currently plays for the English and European giants Chelsea. He plays as a defender and can double up as a defensive midfielder.
Ivanovic commenced his football career at Remont in 2001 and moved to SREM Sremska Mitrovica in 2002. After one season he joined OFK Beograd. He played for them for three years until the summer of 2006 and made 55 league appearances. Ivanovic was then signed by Lokomotiv Moscow and he featured in 54 league encounters for the Russian side.
In January 2008 Chelsea signed Ivanovic for 13 million euros on a three-and-a-half year contract with the club that was supposedly the biggest transfer in Russian football history and has gradually become an integral part of the team.
Ivanovic has since made over 113 Premier League appearances for the Blues, winning the league in 2009-10, the FA Cup in 2009, 2010 and 2012 and the Champions League in 2011-12.
Ivanovic made his international debut for Serbia in 2005 and has played in over 50 matches for his nation.
