Ledley Brenton King is an English football player who currently features for the English Premier League player Tottenham Hotspur. He is a versatile footballer who can play as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder. King is considered by many as a world class player.

Ledley King has been at Spurs all his life and after progressing through the club’s youth academy made his senior team debut in the English Premier League in 1998. He could establish himself as a first choice regular for Spurs after a few seasons.

King though has become on one of the best centre-backs in the Premiership and has played more than 250 matches for Spurs in all competitions. He is also the captain of Spurs and despite several offers for him from bigger clubs, King has decided to stay on at Spurs.

Ledley King made his international debut for England in March 2002 against Italy in a match that they lost 2-1. He has gone onto play 18 matches for his nation and has scored 1 goal.
