A professional football player of Malian decent, Abdoulwahid Sissoko was born in France and plays as a midfielder. He joined up with local side Troyes AC and started playing in their youth academy. He moved into the first team in 2008, and for three seasons, worked his way into the first and made himself indispensible to the line-up. He played 55 times for the club and made his way to Italy, signing up with Udinese Calcio in 2011.
However, getting into the first team at Udinese wasn’t as easy for Sissoko and he decided to go out on a loan move to Stade Brestois, in 2012, in a bid to find regular playing time. Even at Brest, Sissoko faces an uphill battle to find a place in the first team.
