Azbe Jug is a professional football player from Slovenia who plays as a goalkeeper. Jug began his youth career at a local club, called Pohorje, where he became the star of the team. He was picked up by NK Maribor, one of the biggest clubs in the country, and brought into their youth academy. In 2009, he broke into the first team at NK Bravo1 Interblock, and not at NK Maribor, and after spending a majority of his three-years at the club as the second choice goalkeeper, notched up 33 appearances by the time his contract ended.
In 2011, FC Girondins de Bordeaux saw promise in this young goalkeeper who had, between 2008 and 2010, played 7-times for the Slovenian Under-19 team. Since moving to Bordeaux, Jug has slotted behind all the other goalkeepers at the club, becoming a member of their reserve team.
