Marc Planus-McGinty
A professional football player from France, Marc Planus-McGinty plays as a defender in the centre of the back-line. Marc is a product of the FC Girondins de Bordeaux youth academy and has been a supporter of his home-town club from the very beginning. He spent his childhood playing with the Bordeaux academy and in 2002, after he had turned 20, Marc made his debut for the senior team at the club.
Since moving into the first team, Marc has become a regular with the side and played over 220 games for the team in 10 seasons. He has helped Bordeaux win the 2008-09 Ligue 1 title as well as the 2007 Coupe de la Ligue title and the 2009 version of the tournament as well. In 2008 and 2009, Marc helped the side win the Trophee des Champions and was called up, in 2010, to make his debut for the French senior national team.
Since making his debut for France at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Marc has yet to make an appearance for the national team under new coach Laurent Blanc.
