A professional Brazilian football player, Jussie Ferreira Vieira is a striker who loves to play in a supporting role at the front of the attack. While quite a capable striker on his own accord, Vieira is known to enjoy providing opportunities for his team-mates more than anything else. He moved up through the Cruzeiro youth academy and broke into the first team in 2001.
Over the next five seasons, Vieira would play over 55 times for the club, mostly sharing the starting spot with other strikers. He helped Cruzeiro grab the 2003 Brazilian Serie A title as well as the 2003 Copa do Brasil title. The club even won the Campeonato Mineiro or the state league title in 2003 and 2004.
With 13 goals under his belt, Vieira moved to RC Lens, in France, but not before spending a loan stint out at Kashiwa Reysol in the Japanese first division, scoring 5 times in 17 games.
Jussie was a regular at Lens, playing almost 70 times in two seasons and scoring 13 goals along the way. Towards the end of that spell, he moved to FC Girondins de Bordeaux on loan with the option to be bought outright at the end of the loan spell. After a strong performance in the 16 games he played for Bordeaux, scoring twice, Vieira was bought by the club in 2007.
Since 2007, Vieira has played almost 130 games for the club, scoring 20 goals and setting up many more along the way. He has helped the club win the 2009 Ligue 1 title, the 2007 and 2009 Coupe de la Ligue titles as well as the 2008 and 2009 Trophee des Champions.
