Ludovic Sane

Ludovic Lamine Sane is a professional football player from France who plays as a defensive midfielder. Sane began his playing career in a small club from his home-town, just outside of Bordeaux, called US Lormont. From 1997 to 2003, a young Sane made his way up the ranks and impressed a lot of people, including the coaching staff at Stade Bordelais. From 2003 to 2006, Sane was a part of their youth academy and played himself into the position where FC Girondins de Bordeaux became interested in his work on the pitch.

Sane played 2008-09 at the Bordeaux youth academy, before making his professional debut for Bordeaux in 2009. He had, however, already played for various clubs while he was in the youth academy structure at Stade Borlais. Sane had played around 25 games for RCO Agde, in 2006-07, while also playing for US Lormont in 2007-08 for a bit.

Since moving to Bordeaux, Sane has been on the fringes of the first team, making around 83 appearances for the side and scoring 4 times on his way to fighting for a regular first team place. Despite being born in France, Sane has chosen to represent Senegal at the international level, and has played 6 times for the club since moving there.
