A professional football player from France, Yoann Poulard plays as a defender. Poulard began his playing career when he signed up with the Angers SCO youth team in 1993. In 1994, he made his progression into the first team at the club, but was slow to get into the playing eleven. He had 39 appearances in four years and couldn’t make his mark on the team. In 1998, he moved to Le Mans, still in the lower divisions in France.
His move changed his career as Poulard would spend 9 seasons at the club, notching up almost 250 league appearances and scoring a goal as well. He moved to Stade Brestois 29, in 2006-07, and played 39 games, before moving to FC Nantes for two seasons.
Yoann had over 60 appearances for FC Nantes in that period, scoring twice and signing up with AC Ajaccio in their bid to climb to the top of the table. Since 2009, Poulard has been an integral part of the Ajaccio line-up, with over 90 appearances in the league and 6 goals to his name as well.
