A professional football player from Brazil, Mauricio Donizete Ramos Junior plays as a defender in the centre-back position. In 1998, Ramos was noticed playing at the youth academy at Esporte Clube XV de Novembro, in his home town of Piracicaba. He broke into their first team in 2003 but only played 5 games that season.
In 2004, Ramos moved to Independiente de Limeira where he played 20 games and scored 7 goals, catching the eye of many teams along the way. He moved to Iraty Sport Club in 2005 and between 2005 and 2009, played a handful of games while spending most of his time out on loan. He went to Sao Caetano on loan in 2006-07 playing just 6 games, before moving to Coritiba in 2008, playing 34 games and getting a full playing season for the first time.
In 2009, Ramos moved to Palmeiras after helping Coritiba win the 2008 Parana State title and helped Palmeiras win the 2012 Copa do Brasil title. He has played regularly for Palmeiras, with over 130 games and 8 goals in 4 seasons so far.
