A professional football player from Brazil, Evanildo Borges Barbosa Junior, also known as Juninho, plays as a defender in the left-back position. In 2009, he played in the first team at lower division side Audax Sao Paolo Esporte Clube before being picked up on loan by Figuirense. He played 36 times for Figueirense in 2009-10, scoring 3 times, before converting that loan move into a permanent move in 2011.

After moving to Figueirense, he played another 35 games as a regular member of the first team, scoring two goals and winning the Silver Ball award for being the second best played in all of Brazil’s Serie A.

Juninho has been touted as one of the biggest names for the future and in 2012, he moved to Palmeiras to sign with the club and get into their starting line-up. He has, since, played 34 times for the club and scored 4 goals, leaving his mark on the team already with the 2012 Copa do Brasil title.
