Scott Wootton is a young football player who currently features for the English and European powerhouse Manchester United. He plays as a defender.
Wootton commenced his footballing career at Tranmere Rovers Centre of Excellence and moved to Liverpool when he was 13. He was at the club between 2004 and 2007 and then joined Manchester United’s youth academy.
Wootton was promoted to United’s reserves for the 2010-11 season and quickly established himself as one of the key players. He made his debut for the senior team in Gary Neville’s testimonial game in May 2011.
Wootton has played on loan for Tranmere Rovers, Peterborough United and Nottingham Forest on loan since 2010.
