Marlon Ventra Rodrigues is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a defender in the central position. Marlon began his playing career at the Flamengo youth academy in 2001. From 2001 to 2006, Marlon worked hard to make a place for himself in the first team. In 2006, he finally broke into first team at Flamengo, but finding regular playing time would be a huge problem.
Marlon was part of the reserve side for two seasons, making just 7 appearances for the first team in over 6 seasons. However, in 2008, he would be sent out on loan to Ipatinga before being sent to Greece to play with Thrasyvoulos Fylis later that same season. After returning from Greece in 2009, Marlon moved to Duque de Caxias in 2010, staying at the club until 2011. He would play 24 times for his team before moving to Clube Nautico Capibaribe.
After a great performance in 2011, where Marlon played 34 games and scored 4 times, Marlon was signed up permanently by the club, and made a regular part of the first team. At the international level, Marlon has been a part of the Brazilian Under-17 national team, winning the 2003 Under-17 World Cup with them.
