A professional football player from Brazil, Josimar Rosado da Silva Tavares plays as a midfielder in a defensive role. In 2003, Josimar came into prominence in the Internacional youth setup, playing 5 seasons with the youth academy and breaking into the professional team. In 2007, Josimar broke into the first team but finding a regular playing spot was quite difficult.
He moved to Gremio Esportivo Brasil on loan in 2008, before moving to Fortaleza later that same year. In 2009, he joined Al-Watani in Saudi Arabia to find regular playing time. 15 games later, he was sent out on his fourth loan move, this time to Ponte Preta in 2010-11. Josimar notched up 57 appearances and scored 3 goals for Ponte Preta, but failed to make an impact when returning to Internacional.
Although Josimar continues to be an Internacional player, he hasn’t found much playing time with the team, making just 12 appearances. He will spend 2012 out on loan to Figueirense.
