A professional football player from Brazil, Edson Ramos Silva plays as a defender in the right-back position. Nicknamed as the “Little Mouse” or “Ratinho”, Edson began his playing career in 2006, with Campinense. His professional debut, however, would come with Mogi Mirim. A highly rated football player since a young age, Edson was picked by AEK Athens thanks to the recommendation of Brazilian legend Rivaldo.
In 2007-08, Ratinho played 31 times for the club, scoring 1 goal. In 2009, Mogi Mirim signed Ratinho but before he could play a single game, FC Bunyodkor from Uzbekistan decided to sign Ratinho. 14 games later, Ratinho moved to Spain and signed with Real Mallorca, playing 2010-11 with the side but after 16 games, he was sent out on loan to Sao Paulo.
In 2012, Ratinho signed up with Mogi Mirim but was loaned out to Internacional before making an appearance for Mogi Mirim. Ratinho continues to work towards creating a first team spot and getting regular playing time.
