A professional football player from Brazil, Fabricio dos Santos Silva plays as a defender in the left-back position. Fabricio made his youth team debut for Portuguesa but in 2005-06, was picked up by Sao Paulo. Despite shining in the academy, Fabricio wasn’t called up to make his debut for the Sao Paulo first team but he found the Corinthians ready to give him an opportunity.

Between 2006 and 2008, Fabricio spent most of his time playing in the state league while 2007 was sent out on loan to Ituano Futebol Clube. In 2008, Rio Branco decided to sign Fabricio but getting regular playing time was still difficult. Within the same year, he would move to Santo Andre and the following season, he moved to Atletico Monte Azul.

Playing well in the lower divisions of Brazil, Fabricio caught the eye of Portuguesa once again and returned to the side in 2009. For three seasons, he was a part of Portuguesa although 2011 ended with a loan move to Internacional. That said, Fabricio had managed to play 48 times for Portuguesa in the league and during his loan move, played another 18 games and caught the fancy of the Internacional coaching staff.

In 2012, Fabricio’s move to Internacional was made permanent and he has earned 11 more caps in the league so far.
