Cosmin Marius Contra is a Romanian international footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Getafe. He plays as a right back.

Cosmin Contra started his footballing career at Politehnica Timişoara where he played for three seasons before moving to arch-rivals Dinamo Bucharest. He featured in 101 league matches for the Romanian giants in three seasons and in the summer of 1999 was signed by Spanish club Deportivo Alaves for 8 million euros. He then moved to AC Milan in 2001 for a modest one season with the Italian giants before moving back to Spain and to Atletico Madrid and moved to Getafe in the summer of 2005 and has been pretty much settled at the club.

Cosmin Contra has been a Romanian international since 1996 and has featured in 66 international matches. Since September 2006 however he has been a naturalised Spanish citizen. He played for Romania in the Euro 2000 finals.
