A professional football player from Brazil, Jean Raphael Vanderlei Moreira is a defensive midfielder. Jean began playing at the youth academy of Operario Futebol Clube in 2001. For two seasons, he played to capture the eye of bigger teams and in 2002, his effort paid off as Sao Paulo signed him up for their own academy.

From 2002 to 2005, Jean was a part of the Sao Paulo youth team, playing through the ranks and rising up to the first team. Jean’s debut at the professional level would come in 2005, however his entry into the first team would take a lot more time. Between 2005 and 2011, Jean was a regular part of the first team at Sao Paulo, helping them win the 2008 Serie A title.

In 2012, Jean left Sao Paulo for Fluminense, having played almost 120 games for the team and scored 7 goals. With the Fluminense side, Jean has already won the 2012 Campeonato Carioca title, although his own contribution may have been limited.
